Oops! A royal wedding plate is available for sale commemorating Meghan Markle’s marriage to British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran, not her royal husband-to-be, Prince Harry.

Former Royal Chef Darren McGrady spotted the blooper and posted a photo on Twitter on Tuesday, 10 April 2018, saying, ‘Just think some companies should do a little more research first.’

Town & Country magazine discovered this merchandise was available on Etsy for A$45.75 which has since sold out due to ‘high demand’.

The description reads, ‘Celebrate THE wedding of the year with this beautiful china plate featuring the portraits of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Whether you chose to eat your toast and Marmite (Harry’s favourite snack*) from, or hang it on your wall, this plate won’t fail to raise a smile and evoke pride in our country’s most cherished couple.’

There is also a disclaimer.

The handmade plate is 8 inches (20 cm) in diameter and not dishwasher safe.

The Royal Collection has released a range of official commemorative Royal Wedding china and a tea towel to mark this historic occasion, with a shortbread biscuit tube coming soon, and Fortnum & Mason selling the Wedding Bouquet Tea.
