Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her 89th birthday. Prince Philip receives his knighthood, ANZAC Day Centenary commemorations, Queen Margrethe II’s 75th birthday celebrations continue and Prince Harry’s first two weeks with the Australian Army.

Anzac Day & Gallipoli Commemorations (25 April 2015)

The Prince of Wales and Prince Henry will attend a Dawn Service at ANZAC Cove to mark the One-Hundredth Anniversary of the Gallipoli Landings.

The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence will attend the Dawn Service at Wellington Arch at Hyde Park Corner.

The Duke of Kent, President of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission will attend a Dawn service, before attending the ANZAC Day Service at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron of the Gallipoli Association, will attend a service of remembrance at St Paul’s Cathedral.

The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Duke of Cambridge will lay a wreath at the Cenotaph at Whitehall. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will later attend a service of commemoration at Westminster Abbey.

The Prince of Wales and Prince Henry of Wales will attend the Australian Service of Thanksgiving at Lone Pine, and the New Zealand Service of Thanksgiving at Chunuk Bair, Gallipoli.

Prince Harry Continues Training With The Australian Army

Captain Wales, as Prince Harry is known as in the army, reported for duty in Canberra two weeks ago on Easter Monday (6 April 2015), after greeting well-wishers outside the Australian War Memorial.

Our Warrior Prince also joined a patrol during his time in Darwin.

The Prince also spent some time in a flight simulator before joining the 1st Aviation Regiment on an ARH Tiger reconnaissance flight.

Prince Harry also participated in a game of Wheelchair AFL after meeting with some of the Army’s wounded, injured and ill members.

Based at Robertson Barracks, Palmerston and located around 20kms south of Darwin in the Northern Territory; the 1st Brigade is home to armoured, cavalry, aviation, artillery, infantry, engineer and combat services support battalions.
