Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit will be involved in the Literature Train for the third consecutive year.

The Literature Train’s main purpose is to increase an interest in books, and to encourage people to read more.

Norges Statsbaner (Norwegian State Railways), or NBS, has said they are looking forward to sharing a new literary journey with the Crown Princess.

This year’s theme is “There is a book for everyone!”
The Literature train will travel from Bergen to Oslo, with book stops at libraries in Voss, Gol and Hønefoss.
For anyone interested in attending these events, the train is open at the following railway stations:
• Bergen – Wednesday, 1 June from 7.15 pm to 8.15 pm
• Voss – Thursday, 2 June from 12.00 noon to 1.45 pm
• Gol – Thursday, 2 June from 5.00 pm to 6.15 pm
• Hønefoss – Friday, 3 June from 12.00 noon to 1.15 pm
Geir Gullicksen, author of History of a Marriage, will be giving a talk at the Literature House in the Oslo Railway terminus, focusing on outsiders in love and marriage, and about life and writing.
