The Swedish Royal Court has released gorgeous new photos to mark Princess Leonore’s 3rd Birthday on Monday, 20 February 2017.
Princess Madeleine and Mr Christopher O’Neill’s eldest child, Princess Leonore Lilian Maria, Duchess of Gotland, was born on 20 February 2014 at the Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, USA.
Meanwhile, in Sweden, a 21-gun salute was fired in Stockholm to celebrate her birth.
Princess Leonore is sixth in the line of succession, following Princess Madeleine, in accordance with the 1979 Act of Succession, which came into effect on 1 January 1980.
She was christened in the Royal Chapel by Archbishop Anders Wejryd and Pastor of the Royal Court Parish Michael Bjerkhagen at Drottningholm Palace on 8 June 2014.
So far, Princess Leonore has had an audience with Pope Francis when she accompanied her parents and grandmother, Queen Silvia of Sweden, during a visit to the Vatican on Monday, 27 April 2015.
Her brother Prince Nicolas, Duke of Ångermanland, was born on 15 June 2015, in Danderyd Hospital, Stockholm, two days after her uncle, Prince Carl Philip married Sofia Hellqvist.
Princess Madeleine’s family are now based in London, after moving in 2015, where Mr O’Neill’s business is now based.
