The Dutch Royal Family meet with the press for a few photos at the start of their holiday to avoid being followed by photographers throughout their stay at the exclusive resort.

This has become an annual tradition, with these photos posted on the Dutch Royal Family’s official Facebook Page and Twitter account.

Princess Alexia broke her leg during last year’s holiday and was immediately taken to hospital for an operation.

The Dutch Royal Family have been spending their holidays at Lech in western Austria every year since the 1950s.
