“We are happy to announce that we are expecting a child, a sibling to Prince Alexander. We are looking forward to welcoming a new little member to our family,” says Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia said in a statement published by the Royal Court.

So far there have been no changes in the Prince Couple’s public engagements during spring and summer.

The couple has a son, Prince Alexander, who was born on 19 April 2016.

The new baby will be King Carl XVI and Queen Silvia’s sixth grandchild.
