“We greatly look forward to welcoming him and all of our new pupils to the school in September.”
Thomas’s Battersea School is one of London’s top private school for students aged from 4 and usually leave when they’re 11 or 13.
About 540 children, boys and girls, currently attend the school in south London which offers a rich and broad curriculum, with Art, Ballet, Drama, French, Music, ICT and PE which are all taught by specialist teachers from the child’s first day in school.
School fees cost £18,000, or roughly A$30,000, per year for day students.
The most important rule is to “be kind”.
However, many had expected Prince George would attend his father’s alma mater, the boys only preparatory Wetherby School in Notting Hill.
The Duke and Duchess were said to have put a lot of thought into the choice of Prince George’s “big school”.
Thomas’s also has a Kindergarten which Princess Charlotte is said to be expected to attend at a future date.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are moving back to London later this year after Prince William finishes his term as a part-time helicopter pilot job with East Anglia Air Ambulance in June, and to work full-time as a member of the Royal Family.
Prince George had been attending the Westacre Montessori School nursery in Norfolk, which was close to their home at Anmer Hall, from January 2016.
