Prince Charles’ beloved godmother Countess Mountbatten passed away at her home on 13 June 2017.

Grenfell Tower Visit

On Friday, 16 June, the Queen and Prince William met with residents, the community, emergency services and volunteers involved in the Grenfell Tower tragedy earlier this week.

The Queen and The Duke of Cambridge are visiting the Westway Sports Centre in London following the fire at Grenfell Tower. The centre in West London has been a focal point for efforts to support those affected by the fire.

Prince Philip Celebrates 96th Birthday

Prince Philip celebrated his 96th birthday with quiet celebrations at Windsor Castle on 10 June 2017.

A 41-gun salute was fired from the Tower of London and the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery rode horses in Hyde Park.

Danish Royal Golden Wedding Anniversary

Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik of Denmark celebrated 50 years of marriage on 10 June 2017.

Princess Margrethe married Henri Marie Jean André de Laborde de Monpezat on 10 June 1967 at Holmens Kirk (Navy Church) in Copenhagen. He became HRH Prince Henrik following the wedding.
