The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall join Canadians in celebrating 150 years of Confederation in Ottawa.
The Prince and The Duchess arrive on Parliament Hill, Ottawa, alongside Governor-General David Johnston and Mrs Johnston to join #Canada150 celebrations. 🇨🇦 Their Royal Highnesses travelled to Parliament Hill in the historic State Landau, a carriage that was built in the 1890’s. Made of hand-carved wood and wrought iron, the landau has escorted many members of the Royal Family over the years, including King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and The Duke of Edinburgh, and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. #RoyalVisitCanada

Prince Philip’s Last Duke of Edinburgh Awards Presentation
Prince Philip presents Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards for the last time at a garden party before he retires in August 2017.
Today The Duke of Edinburgh attended a Presentation Reception for 350 DofE Gold Award holders and their families in the gardens of the Palace of Holyroodhouse. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is the world’s leading youth achievement award, developing over 400,000 young people for life and work every year in the UK. Since it was founded by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh in 1956, 6 million people have participated in DofE programmes.
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were in Scotland as part of “Royal Week” or “Holyrood Week 2017” to celebrate Scottish culture, achievement and community.
Memorial Service for Diana Princess of Wales
Prince William and Prince Harry attended a private memorial service at Althorpe with Earl Spencer and Diana’s sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes on 1 July, which would have been Diana’s 56th birthday.The Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George and Princess Charlotte were also present paying their respects.
