Kensington Palace has announced that the Duchess of Cambridge’s third baby is due in April 2018 and a forthcoming royal visit to Sweden and Norway.

William and Kate are said to be “delighted” to confirm this happy news.

The baby’s birth could coincide with Queen Elizabeth’s 92nd birthday on 21 April.

The Duchess suffered from Hyperemesis Gravidarum which she endured whilst pregnant with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

She was unable to accompany Prince William when Prince George started school on 7 September, at Thomas’s Battersea due to illness.

However, the Duchess resumed official duties on Tuesday, 10 October, when she attended a reception at Buckingham Palace to honour mental health champions as part of World Mental Health Day.

Kate arrived unexpectedly at the Charities Forum event at Paddington Station on Monday, 16 October 2017. She was also seen dancing with Paddington Bear on Platform One, just before the train pulled out of the station.

Children travelled aboard vintage carriages pulled by a steam locomotive for a journey through the English countryside.

Both Prince George and Princess Charlotte were born at the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, so it expected the third baby will be born there too.

The new baby will be fifth in the line of succession to the British throne as Prince Harry is bumped down to #6.

Scandinavian Trip Postponed

The Duke and Duchess will undertake an official visit to Norway and Sweden in early 2018 at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s request.

The trip, which had been planned by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, for November had been postponed as the Duchess was deemed too ill to travel due to severe morning sickness.

Further details will be released in due course.

However, Prince William will be making a solo official two-day visit to Finland on 29 to 30 November, as part of the nation’s Centenary celebrations on 6 December.

Finland became an independent nation on 6 December 1917.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry is also scheduled to make an official visit to Copenhagen in Denmark from 25 to 26 October, which will include an audience with Queen Margrethe at Amalienborg Palace.
