Prince Oscar of Sweden sure is growing up fast, as he celebrates his 2nd birthday on 2 March 2018, with his big sister, Princess Estelle.

The Swedish Royal Court has released three new delightful photos capturing Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel’s two gorgeous children enjoying some cake at Haga Palace.

During the past year, the little Prince met the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge when his parents received them at Haga Palace during their recent visit to Sweden in January.

He has appeared with his mother, father and older sister during family celebrations and official engagements, including National Day celebrations.

Crown Princess Victoria took her two children to see the Vivat Regina Exhibition on Thursday 22 February.

Prince Oscar is third in the line of succession to the Swedish throne, following his mother and older sister.

Birth

Prince Oscar was born on 2 March 2016 at 8.28 pm at the Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm.

The little prince was 52 cm (22 inches) in length and weighed in at 3.655 kg (8 pounds).

Gun salutes were fired in five cities across Sweden to mark the royal birth.

Proud grandfather King Carl XVI Gustaf announced the little prince’s names as Oscar Carl Olof and his title, Duke of Skåne and a Te Deum service was held in the palace’s Royal Chapel the following day.

Prince Oscar was christened on 27 May amidst pomp and ceremony in the Royal Chapel at Stockholm’s Royal Palace. His godparents are Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, his aunt Princess Madeleine, his mother’s cousin Oscar Magnuson and his father’s cousin, Hans Åström.
