Harry and Meghan are currently living at Nottingham Cottage, or Nott Cott, since their engagement in 2017.

However, Harry moved into the cosy 2-bedroom cottage, shortly after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince George moved into a larger home at Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace, Princess Margaret’s former home, in October 2013.

Nottingham Cottage has proved ideal for newlyweds, but not a couple with a baby.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced, shortly after their arrival in Australia, they were expecting their first child in Spring 2019.

Prince Charles had recently suggested names Kylie and Shane for Harry and Meghan’s baby whilst attending a reception celebrating the Centenary of Australia House, but maybe not Edna or Les.

They will move to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate early next year as they prepare for their first child’s arrival.

Windsor is a very special place for Their Royal Highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate.

Frogmore Cottage has 10-bedrooms, a nursery, gym and spa with plenty of room for the growing family, a nanny and those times when Meghan’s mum Doria comes to stay.

The statement from Kensington Palace said Windsor is a very special place for the Duke and the Duchess and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the state.

Prince Harry married actress Meghan Markle in a lavish ceremony on 19 May 2018, including a carriage procession and a reception at Windsor Castle.

Prince Charles hosted an evening reception at Frogmore House for 200 guests, including family and close friends.

Frogmore Cottage will be refurbished in the meantime and should be ready before Harry and Meghan’s baby is born.

However, the Duke and Duchess’s official office will continue to be based at Kensington Palace.
