The Prime Minister, nicknamed ScoMo, is visiting Great Britain to represent Australia at the D-Day 75th Anniversary commemorations in Portsmouth.

2019 marks the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, France, during World War II, marking the first step in the Allied forces’ efforts to liberate Europe from Nazi Germany.

Over 3,000 Australians participated in the D-Day landings, playing a small but significant role, mostly from the Royal Australian Air Force, who served under British command.
