Grattis på födelsedagen! Princess Madeleine celebrates her 37th birthday on Monday, 10 June 2019, sharing her birthday with Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh who turns 98.

The youngest daughter of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, Madeleine Thérèse Amelie Josephine, Princess of Sweden, Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland, was born in 1982 at Drottningholm Palace.
She is currently seventh in the line of succession to the throne, following her older sister and brother, and their children.

Princess Madeleine married American financier Mr Christopher O’Neill on Saturday, 8 June 2013 in the Royal Palace Chapel in Castle Church, Stockholm.

They have three children, Princess Leonore (born 20 February 2014), Prince Nicolas (born 15 June 2015) and Princess Adrienne (born 9 March 2018).

Princess Madeleine and her family currently live in Florida, USA.

She wrote a book, Stella och hemligheten (Stella and the Secret), which was launched on 4 June 2019, to help children to stand up for themselves and to speak up when things don’t feel right.

The book was published to support one of Princess Madeleine’s charities, World Childhood Foundation.

In 2015, Princess Madeleine launched the #EyesWideOpen to increase awareness of sexual abuse of children.

Princess Madeleine is also the Patron of Min Stora Dag (My Big Day), which is the Swedish equivalent of Make A Wish Foundation.
