The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have posted a message for Australian followers on Twitter on 11 November 2019 regarding bushfires.

Over one hundred bushfires continue to burn across New South Wales and Queensland, including Sydney, Newcastle, the North Coast around Port Macquarie, the South Coast, and the New England area.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison and NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian visited firefighters near Wauchope on Sunday, 10 November 2019, and praised them for their courage.

Over 600 schools and colleges were closed for safety precautions.

Local Federal Member for New England Barnaby Joyce was also fighting bushfires at his parents’ property at Woolbrook when speaking to Karl Stefanovic on 2GB earlier this afternoon.
