King Harald, aged 83, was admitted to Rikshospitalet in Oslo on 8 January 2019 due to dizziness, which was diagnosed as vertigo.

He had expected to go home last weekend but remained in Rikshospitalet for another few days.

The King will remain on sick leave for another week as he convalesces at home.

Crown Prince Haakon will continue acting as Regent in the meantime, including a visit to cement manufacturer Norcem in Brevik on the same day.
