According to Denmark.dk on Twitter, the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR) invites Danes to sing for Queen Margrethe in their homes with various well-known performers leading the ‘choir’ throughout the day.

People are also encouraged to make a traditional Danish birthday cake – a lagkage’ (layer cake) to mark this special occasion.
