Meeting The Grandparents By Skype

However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, grandparents Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa were unable to visit their latest grandchild at the hospital.

So proud parents Prince Guilliame and Princess Stéphanie contacted the Grand Ducal Couple from the hospital via Skype to meet little Charles.

Charles is Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa’s fifth grandchild and the fourth grandson.

Charles Jean Philippe Joseph Marie Guillaume was born at 5.13 am at Maternité Grande-Duchesse Charlotte (Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity Hospital) in Luxembourg, weighing in at 3.190 kg (just over 7 pounds) and 50 cm in length.

He is currently second in the line of succession to the Grand Ducal throne, following his father, Prince Guillaume.
