English Translation

Kristoffer Triumf: Does the King have a favourite forest?

King Carl Gustaf: What is a favourite forest – it is not so easy to answer …
One should still-when you ask, maybe take it-as fast comes up in the head – something I think of, yet not why – which I think is wonderful – is a tall pine forest, on sandy-ground, with a little heather and dry-pine needles, a summer day.

It is very dry, warm and soft – it has a special scent.

No real production forest.

As a forest owner, it may not be a horse, but as an experience forest, it is something to walk in a church, a cathedral.

It’s a great atmosphere.
