Prince Charles of Luxembourg celebrates his first birthday on Monday, 10 May 2021.

The Grand-Ducal Court of Luxembourg has released a series of gorgeous photographs and a short video on social media to mark this milestone.

Prince Charles Jean Philippe Joseph Marie Guillaume was born at 5.13 am on Sunday, 10 May 2020, in the Maternité Grande-Duchess Charlotte in Luxembourg.

The little prince was 50 cm (19.67 inches) in length and weighed in at 3.190 kg (7 pounds .52 ounces).

Prince Charles is currently second, following his father, in the line of succession for the Grand Ducal throne.

He was baptised at the Abbaye Saint-Maurice de Clervaux on Saturday, 19 September 2020, with his paternal uncle, Prince Louis, and maternal aunt, Countess Gaëlle de Lannoy, chosen as godparents.
