King Charles III’s Coronation will be held on Saturday, 6 May 2023, not Saturday, 3 June as predicted.

Buckingham Palace also announced on Tuesday, 11 October, the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby will conduct the Coronation Ceremony at Westminster Abbey in London.

Queen Camilla will be crowned alongside her husband King Charles.

This is the first joint Coronation since 1937 when King George VI and Queen Elizabeth were crowned on 12 May.

The Coronation, which is established in longstanding traditions and pageantry, will reflect the monarch’s role today and will look towards the future.

Further details will be announced in due course.
