Prince Harry has announced that the Invictus Games will be hosted in Sydney, Australia, from 18 to 29 October 2018.

Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games is the international adaptive sporting event for wounded, injured and sick Servicemen and women, including veterans.

Over 500 competitors from 17 nations will be participating in the fourth Invictus Games, with events held in Greater Sydney, including Sydney Olympic Park and on and around Sydney Harbour.

The Games use the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for those who have served their country.

The first Invictus Games were held in London in September 2014, with more than 400 competitors from 13 nations.

The second Invictus Games were held in Orlando, Florida, in May 2016 and the Toronto 2017 Invictus Games will be held from 23 to 30 September 2017.
