The Swedish Royal Court has released two new photos to mark Princess Estelle’s 5th Birthday on Thursday, 23 February 2017.
Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel’s eldest child, Estelle Silvia Ewa Mary, Princess of Sweden, Duchess of Östergötland was born on 23 February 2012 at 4.26 am at Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm.
The little princess, who is second in the line of succession to the Swedish throne, was 51cm (20 inches) in length and weighed 3.28kg (7lb).
Her birth was celebrated with a 21-gun salute on the island Skeppsholmen, opposite the Royal Palace.
Prince Daniel told reporters that she was “a sweet little princess”.
Princess Estelle was christened on 22 May 2012 at the Royal Chapel at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, Sweden. Her godparents are her maternal uncle Prince Carl Philip of Sweden; her paternal aunt Anna Westling-Söderström, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark and Crown Prince Haakon of Norway.
Princess Estelle began attending the preschool at Äventyret Preschool in Danderyd Municipality, Stockholm, on Monday, 25 August 2014.
She became a big sister when her little brother, Prince Oscar, Duke of Skåne, was born on 2 March 2016.
