Royal Household staff have been summoned around 3.00 am (12 noon AEST) for an emergency meeting at Buckingham Palace for a meeting later today.
There is speculation that the announcement concerns the Queen or Prince Philip’s health.

According to the Daily Mail UK reported that Queen Elizabeth II”s senior aides across Britain have been summoned for an address by the Lord Chamberlain, The Royal Household’s most senior officer, and the Queen’s Private Secretary Sir Christopher Geidt.
Other reports claim the Queen’s entire staff from across the United Kingdom, including Windsor Castle, Balmoral and Sandringham, are also requested to attend.
The Queen and Prince Philip had suffered from heavy colds at Christmas so they were forced to miss the traditional Christmas Day service at Sandringham.
So far, there has been no official comment from Buckingham Palace.
Prince Philip, the Honorary Life Member of Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), visited Lord’s Cricket Ground to open the new Warner Stand at Lord’s Cricket Ground on Wednesday, 3 May 2017.
Meanwhile, the Queen met with British Prime Minister Theresa May.
