Princess Estelle wears the Sverigedräkten (the National Costume since 2004) which is worn by the women in the Swedish Royal Family on some official occasions.

Princess Estelle, aged 6, and Prince Oscar, aged 2, are second and third in the Swedish line of succession, following their mother, Crown Princess Victoria.

Their grandparents, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, opened the Royal Palace at 10.00 am to welcome the public for the Open Day with free entry, to see the Royal Apartments, museums, exhibitions, the Royal Armoury and the Bernadotte Library.

The changing of the Royal Guard took place at 12.00 noon in the Outer Courtyard.

Swedish Navy Band provided a music programme and there were activities for children until closing time at 5.00 pm.
