Princess Ariane of the Netherlands began her first day of high school in The Hague on Monday, 2 September 2019.
Proud dad King Willem-Alexander filmed his youngest daughter as she rode her bike from the Huis ten Bosch Palace to her new school.
The Dutch Royal House later posted the video on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Princess Ariane begins Grade 8 at the Sorghvliet Christelijk Gymnasium with her two older sisters, Catharina-Amalia (Princess of Orange) and Alexia.
She was born in The Hague on 10 April 2007 and celebrated her 12th Birthday earlier this year.
Princess Ariane is currently third in the line of succession to the Dutch throne.
Her aunt, Princess Laurentien, was a former student at Sorghvliet Christelijk Gymnasium, before studying at the University of Groningen.
A statement from the Dutch Royal House says ‘the princesses’ school time as private’ as King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima have asked the media to continue to respect their daughters’ privacy.
