The Royal Court of Norway has announced that King Harald V is now on sick leave for two weeks.

King Harald, aged 83, was admitted to Rikshospitalet in Oslo on 8 January 2020 due to dizziness.

The statement said King Harald had no serious illness and is expected to be discharged before the weekend.

Crown Prince Haakon will act as regent during this time.
