So far, several people in Sweden have contracted the deadly virus with two deaths.

Schools in Sweden have closed to prevent further spreading of COVID-19, including Campus Manilla where the King’s granddaughter Princess Estelle is currently a student.

Crown Princess Victoria’s Name Day traditional celebrations in the Royal Palace courtyard on Thursday, 12 March 2020 were also cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Instead, Sweden’s Armed Forces brought flowers and congratulated Crown Princess Victoria during a smaller ceremony within the Royal Palace.
