King Willem-Alexander celebrates his 53rd birthday on Monday, 27 April 2020.

Willem-Alexander succeeded his mother, Queen Beatrix, as King of the Netherlands when she abdicated on 30 April 2013.

He is married to Queen Máxima. They have three daughters, Princess Catharina-Amalia (the Princess of Orange), Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane.

Koningsdag 2020 At Home

However, Koningsdag celebrations in Maastricht were cancelled due to the coronavirus.

The Dutch Royal Family will celebrate Koningsdag 2020 at home at Huis ten Bosch in The Hague.

King Willem-Alexander will deliver a short message around 10.00 am (local time) which will air on television (NP01) and through the  www.koningsdagthuis.nl link.

The Royal House will also share images through their social media channels, so you can also follow the #Koningsdagthuis via their social media channels.

Koningsdag celebrations close by raising a glass during the National Toast at 4.00 pm.
