The Danish Royal Court has released five new photos of Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary and their four children on Monday, 31 August 2020.
The photos were posted on their Facebook and Instagram social media accounts, to mark the last day of summer in the northern hemisphere, with the following message:
Så gik endnu en sommer.
Vi har alle seks nydt den rundt omkring i Danmark, og her på årets sidste sommerdag sender vi en sen sommerhilsen.
The message translates as in English:
Another summer went by.
All six of us enjoyed it around Denmark, and here on this year’s last summer day we send a late summer greeting.
The Crown Prince Couple’s four children started a new school year at Tranegårdsskolen in Gentofte, on Monday, 10 August 2020.
They are the first Danish royal children to attend a public state school.
The four children attended the international school Lemania-Verbier in Switzerland for twelve weeks, the opportunity to share an experience in an international environment from January to March.
However, their stay in Switzerland was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, the Crown Prince Couple have resumed official engagements during the past three weeks including presenting a new prize category in the International Business Awards, the opening of the Odense International Film Festival and releasing sea urchins at Kattegat with the WWF World Wide Fund.
Photographer Franne Voigt took the photos of the Crown Prince Family at their home at the Chancellery House at Fredensborg Palace.
The Crown Prince Family took up residence in the Chancellery House in April 2020.
