Great news! King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway came out of quarantine on Thursday, 26 November 2020.
According to a statement from the Royal Court, the royal couple had been tested for coronavirus (COVID-19) and the results were negative.
King Harald and Queen Sonja resume their official duties on Friday, 27 November 2020.
All 14 employees at the Royal Court who were quarantined also tested negative for coronavirus and returned to work.
The Royal Couple went into self-imposed home quarantine from Thursday, 19 November 2020 at Bygdøy Royal Estate as Queen Sonja came into contact with someone with the coronavirus.
These quarantine measures were part of government rules and regulations which include staying home, limiting social contact, cleaning surfaces frequently, good hand hygiene, and using face masks to limit the spread of infection.
