Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday, 14 February 2021.

In some countries, a 40th Anniversary is sometimes known as a ‘Ruby Jubilee’.
Hereditary Grand Duke Henri married Maria Teresa Mestre at Notre Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg in 1981.
They met whilst studying political science at the University of Geneva, Switzerland.
They have five children: Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke, Prince Felix, Prince Louis, Princess Alexandra and Prince Sébastien.
Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa also have five grandchildren, including Prince Charles, who is now second in the line of succession.
