Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel have become so fed up with false rumours that they issued a statement on Saturday, 19 February 2022.

Normally, the Swedish Royal Court usually does not comment on private relationships but clearly, the Crown Princess Couple made an exception to ‘protect their family’ and signed off with ‘Victoria and Daniel’.

Their statement appeared on the Swedish Royal Court’s (Kungahuset) official social media accounts.

It has come to our knowledge that there is an extensive negative rumour spread regarding our private relationship. Allegations are spreading about betrayal in the relationship and an impending divorce.

In normal cases, we do not comment on rumours and speculation. But in order to protect our family, we want to make it clear, once and for all, that the rumours that are now spreading are completely unfounded.

Crown Princess Victoria married Daniel Westling on 19 June 2010 in a magnificent wedding in Stockholm Cathedral (Storkyrkan) which was dubbed as ‘Europe’s biggest royal wedding’ since The Prince of Wales married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981′.

They have two children, Princess Estelle (born 23 February 2012) and Prince Oscar (born 2 March 2016).
