The Royal Hashemite Court announced the engagement of Crown Prince Al Hussein to Ms Rajwa Al Saif on Wednesday, 17 August 2022.
According to a statement, the engagement ceremony was held at Ms Rajwa’s father’s home in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia with King Abdullah, Queen Rania and other members of the Royal Family, the bride-to-be’s parents and her family.
The engaged couple posed for photos with King Abdullah II and Queen Rania which were posted on the Jordanian Royal Family’s official social media accounts.
Queen Rania posted, ‘I didn’t think it was possible to hold so much joy in my heart! Congratulations to my eldest Prince Hussein and his beautiful bride-to-be, Rajwa.’
The Crown Prince also posted a photo with his fiancee on social media and thanked everyone for their kind wishes.
Crown Prince Al Hussein was born on 28 June 1994 in Amman, Jordan. He currently serves as a Captain in the Jordanian Armed Forces and was trained at the military academy Sandhurst in London.
Ms Al Said was born in Riyadh on 28 April 1994 and was educated in Saudi Arabia before studying at Syracuse University in New York and the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.
She is the youngest daughter of wealthy businessman Khaled M Al Saif and his wife, Azza bint Naif Al-Sudairi.
The Crown Prince is the second member of the Jordanian Royal Family to become engaged, following his younger sister Princess Iman to New York financier Jameel Alexander Thermiotis in July 2022.
