Britain and Australia’s beloved monarch Queen Elizabeth would have turned 97 on Friday, 21 April 2023.

Buckingham Palace released a photo of Queen Elizabeth surrounded by some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at Balmoral last summer.
The Princess of Wales, who is a keen photographer, took the photo of grandchildren: Lady Louise Windsor and James Earl of Wessex and the great-grandchildren, Savannah Phillips, Isla Phillips, Prince George, Mia Tindall, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Lena Tindall and Lucas Tindall.
Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully on Thursday, 8 September 2022 at Balmoral at 3.10 pm, aged 96.
Her death certificate recorded her cause of death as ‘old age’.
