Buckingham Palace released new official portraits of King Charles and Queen Camilla on Friday, 28 April 2023, one week ahead of the Coronation.

Luke Fildes painted a State Portrait of King George V, shortly after his coronation in 1911, which can be seen on the wall behind King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

King Charles is seated on one of a suite of twelve giltwood and silk upholstered armchairs, made in 1828, for King George IV when he began a rather extensive and expensive refurbishment of Windsor Castle in 1824.

Queen Camilla sits on one of a pair of giltwood and silk upholstered bergères, dating to around 1812.
Hugo Burnard photographed King Charles and Queen Camilla in the Blue Drawing Room at Buckingham Palace in March 2023.
