Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and their children Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus went surfing in southwestern Norway.

The Norwegian Royal Court has released photos which were taken in September at Hoddevik off Stad.

This year, the Crown Prince Family attended Eurosurf on Saturday, 7 October 2017, at Borestranda, or Bore Beach, outside Stavanger.

Borestranda is three kilometres in length and is one of Norway’s finest beaches which is ideal for surfing, camping, riding a bike or going for walks.

This is the first time Eurosurf had been held in Scandinavia and ran events for Europe’s best surfers from 7 to 16 October.

The Crown Prince is a member of the Eurosurf committee and also an avid surfer, which is an interest he shares with the rest of his family.
