The Duke and Duchess of Sussex proudly introduced their baby son during a photocall at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, 8 May 2019.

A statement from Buckingham Palace said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to share their first public moment as a family.
They are incredibly grateful for the warm wishes and support they’ve received from everyone around the world, since welcoming their son two days ago.

A few hours later, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced the name of their first child, who is seventh in the line of succession to the British throne.

Later that day, the proud parents introduced Archie to his great-grandparents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Archie is the Queen and Duke’s eighth great-grandchild.
The Duchess’ mother, Ms Doria Ragland, was also present during this historic moment.
