Tillykke med fødselsdagen! The Danish Royal Court has released four new photos to mark Prince Christian’s 14th birthday on 15 October 2019.

His mother, Crown Princess Mary, took these photos.
Prince Christian, who is second in the line of succession for the Danish throne, was born in 2005 at 1:57 am in Rigshospitalet, the Copenhagen University Hospital, in Copenhagen.

He is the eldest son of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary and the first member of the Royal Family to attend a state school.

Scandinavian Airline Systems named an A319 aircraft, the Christian Valdemar Viking, in his honour in 2006.
School in Switzerland
The Danish Royal Court has announced that Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary’s four children, including Prince Christian, will be attending the Lemania-Verbier International School for 12 weeks at the beginning of the new year.
We, at Lemania-Verbier International School, aim to provide our students with a well rounded education while being immersed in a beautiful and safe mountain environment.
Learning at our school is inspired by critical thinking, creativity and open mindedness to the cultures and beliefs of others. With a strong emphasis on sports and the arts, we believe in developing the personality of each student and helping them becoming principled global citizens as well as life long learners.
The school is located in the exclusive ski resort of Verbier, and near the main ski lifts and sports centre.
Lemania-Verbier International School provides primary and secondary schooling, ages 3 to 15, including boarding school in Winter for students who don’t want to stay for the full year.
Students pay a deposit of 2,000 Swiss Francs (roughly A$3,000), to secure a place, and fees start from 24,680 Swiss Francs (about A$36,608) to 34,890 Swiss Francs (about A$51,770) for tuition, meals and other charges.
The school prides itself on delivering ‘a world-class educational experience with the Swiss high standards, where education goes beyond the curriculum’ to provide children with ‘a learning experience that will last a lifetime’.
The school’s mission statement says, ‘We, at Lemania-Verbier International School, aim to provide our students with a well-rounded education while being immersed in a beautiful and safe mountain environment.
‘Learning at our school is inspired by critical thinking, creativity and open-mindedness to the cultures and beliefs of others. With a strong emphasis on sports and the arts, we believe in developing the personality of each student and helping them becoming principled global citizens as well as life long learners.’
The Crown Prince Couple have said to want their children to have a common experience in an international environment.
All four children will return to their school, Tranegårdsskolen, and resume their school years.
