Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia celebrated their 5th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, 13 June 2020.
They shared new photos of their wedding day and a message on their Instagram account, Prinsparet, to mark this milestone.

Prince Carl Philip married Sofia Hellqvist in a lavish ceremony in the Royal Palace Chapel on 13 June 2015, with their families (including royal relatives) and friends, members of the Royal Court and government officials present.

The Royal Court Chief Chaplain, The Right Reverend Lars-Göran Lönnermark, assisted by Royal Court Chaplain, The Reverend Michael Bjerkhagen presided over the wedding service.
Crown Princess Victoria and Sofia’s two sisters, Sara and Lina, read the Bible passages.

The bridesmaids included Princess Estelle whilst Prince Carl Philip’s school friend Jan-Åke Hansson acted as the best man.
Thousands lined the streets in Stockholm to watch the newlyweds riding in a carriage procession before returning to the Royal Palace for a lavish banquet in the Vita Havet Assembly Rooms, with musicians Avicii and Icona providing entertainment.

They have two sons, Prince Alexander and Prince Gabriel.
