Crown Princess Victoria celebrates her 43rd Birthday on 14 July 2020 at Solliden Palace without the traditional celebrations.
The Crown Princess’ birthday is known as Victoriadagen (Victoria Day), an annual event, which began on her 2nd birthday in 1979.
The celebrations usually start at Solliden Palace, Öland, during the Royal Family’s summer holidays.
However, these celebrations were cancelled this year due to safety concerns during the to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Swedish Armed Forces fired a 21-gun salute at 12.00 pm at Skeppsholmen, Stockholm, Kungshall in Karlskrona, Skansen Lejonet in Gothenburg and Kusthöjden in Härnösand, and from a mobile saluting battery at Kvarnängen in Boden.
