Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia have announced on Friday, 11 December 2020, they are expecting their third child.
A statement from the Royal Court of Sweden said Princess Sofia is ‘well’ and the baby is due at the end of March or early 2021.
We are happy and excited, and are looking forward to welcoming our third child – a sibling for Prince Alexander and Prince Gabriel, and a new addition to our family.

This child will be King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia’s eighth grandchild and seventh in the line of succession to the Swedish throne.
