Princess Athena of Denmark celebrates her 9th birthday on Sunday, 24 January 2021, with her family in Paris.

A statement from the Royal Court of Denmark said ‘Their Royal Highnesses Prince Joachim and Princess Marie have the pleasure of sharing new photos of the Princess, which were taken in the snow-covered French capital.’

In one photo, Princess Athena is wearing a sweatshirt from Danish clothing company Mads Nørgaard.

Prince Joachim and Princess Marie are currently living in Paris with their family whilst he currently serves as a military attache at the Royal Danish Embassy in Paris for a three-year term.

A Little Princess

Her Highness Athena Marguerite Françoise Marie, the youngest child and only daughter of Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, was born at 8.27 am on 24 January 2012 at Rigshospitalet (Copenhagen University Hospital) in Copenhagen.

The little princess was 49 cm (about 19 inches) in length and weighed in at 2.930 kg (about 6 pounds 7 ounces).

Princess Athena is currently tenth in the line of succession to the Danish throne.
