Prince Daniel of Sweden celebrated his 48th Birthday on Wednesday, 15 September 2021.

Olof Daniel, the youngest child of Ewa and Olle Westling, was born on 15 September 1973 in Örebro – on the same day King Gustav VI Adolf died, aged 90, and his father-in-law King Carl XVI Gustaf ascended the Swedish throne.

He married Crown Princess Victoria in a lavish ceremony at Stockholm Cathedral on 19 June 2010, which coincided with her parent’s 34th Wedding Anniversary, followed by a reception at the .

The newlyweds became the Duke and Duchess of Västergötland and currently live at Haga Palace in Stockholm.

They have two children, Princess Estelle (born 23 February 2012), who is currently second in the line of succession and her younger brother Prince Oscar (born 2 March 2016).

The Crown Prince Couple (Kronprinsessparet) celebrated their 10th Wedding Anniversary in 2020.

Prince Daniel is a keen skier and golfer and enjoys going to the theatre.
