Prince Christian of Denmark celebrates his 16th Birthday on Friday, 15 October 2021 whilst away at boarding school.

A statement from the Royal Court of Denmark said on its official Facebook account, ‘The Crown Prince and Crown Princess have the pleasure of sharing new images of His Royal Highness.’

Royal photographer Steen Steen Brogaard took the photos of Prince Christian at his new school, Herlufsholm, where he began his first year as a boarder in August.

Prince Christian will celebrate in private with his family.

He was born in 2005 at 1:57 am in Rigshospitalet, the Copenhagen University Hospital, in Copenhagen, weighing in at 3.5 kilograms (around 7 pounds 11 ounces) and 51 cm (20 inches) in length.

Prince Christian is currently second in the line of succession for the Danish throne, following his father Crown Prince Frederik.
