The Prince’s Palace of Monaco has released a new photo to mark Prince Albert and Princess Charlene’s 11th Wedding Anniversary on Friday, 1 July 2022.

Photographer Eric Mathon took the photo of the royal couple in the gardens at the Prince’s Palace.

Last year, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene were unable to celebrate their 10th anniversary as she was forced to remain in South Africa for nearly six months, following complications after suffering from an ear, nose and throat (ENT) infection.

Her medical team advised against travelling home so Princess Charlene missed celebrating her 10th wedding anniversary with Prince Albert and her children’s first day at school.

On their 11th wedding anniversary, TSH Prince Albert and Princess Charlene wanted to share this photo taken in the gardens of the Prince’s Palace.

Prince Albert married South African swimmer Charlene Wittstock in a civil ceremony on 1 July 2011 in the Throne Room at the Prince’s Palace, followed by a lavish religious ceremony the following day in the palace courtyard.

The couple now has two children, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, born on 10 December 2014.
