The traditional celebrations kicked off with the Crown Princess Couple and their two children, with King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia greeting well-wishers outside Solliden Palace, with the Borgholm Culture School’s Children’s choir performing, that afternoon.

Afterwards, the Swedish Royal Family travelled in horse-drawn carriages to attend a concert at Borgholm Castle later that day.

Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia and Princess Madeleine joined the family for the concert with performances by famous Swedish singer Jonathan Johansson and other musicians including Tomas Ledin, Tove Styrke, Janice and Victor Leksell.

During the event, the Crown Princess will present the Victoria Scholarship to alpine skier Ebba Årsjö who won two gold and a bronze medal at the Beijing Winter Paralympics.

An annual fundraiser was held for Crown Princess Victoria’s fund to provide various activities for children with disabilities or chronic illnesses to enjoy, such as camp activities, excursions, travel and sporting events.

The Swedish Armed Forces also fire 21-gun-salutes at midday to mark the Crown Princess’ birthday at Skeppsholmen in Stockholm, Kungshall in Karlskrona, Skansen Jejonet in Gothenburg, Kusthöjden in Härnösand and at Kvarnängen in Boden.
