The Earl And Countess of Wessex visited Sri Lanka for a five-day visit from 31 January to 5 February.

They delivered the Queen’s Message to President Maithripala Sirisena as Sri Lanka celebrates 70 years of independence.

Royal Octogenarians Celebrate in January

Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands celebrated her 80th birthday on 31 January in private.

The Dutch Royal Court has released new photos, including ones of her sons and grandchildren.

King Juan Carlos of Spain turned 80 earlier that month on 5 January.

His son Felipe VI celebrated his 50th birthday with a series of photos of his family, including taking his daughters to school.
