A number of people in Sweden infected with the coronavirus have been discovered in Sweden.

I and my family are following the development of COVID-19 in and out of Sweden very seriously.

To you who are now working to prevent and
limit the spread of the new coronavirus,
and to provide care to the people who are
ill, I would like to send a special greeting.

Your efforts are important to our country and deeply appreciated by me, my family and everyone in Sweden.

King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia cancelled a dinner scheduled for Wednesday, 4 March 2020, at the Royal Palace due to the coronavirus threat and out of courtesy for their guests.

Swedish health authorities estimate the risks of Covid-19 are high, but ‘the risk of general dissemination in the country is low.’

So far, one person, an elderly lady, had died on Wednesday, 11 March 2020, from the coronavirus in Sweden.
