The Royal Court of Sweden has released a statement from King Carl XVI Gustaf regarding the coronavirus, on Friday, 13 March 2020.
A number of people in Sweden infected with the coronavirus have been discovered in Sweden.
I and my family are following the development of COVID-19 in and out of Sweden very seriously.
To you who are now working to prevent and
limit the spread of the new coronavirus,
and to provide care to the people who are

King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia cancelled a dinner scheduled for Wednesday, 4 March 2020, at the Royal Palace due to the coronavirus threat and out of courtesy for their guests.
Swedish health authorities estimate the risks of Covid-19 are high, but ‘the risk of general dissemination in the country is low.’
So far, one person, an elderly lady, had died on Wednesday, 11 March 2020, from the coronavirus in Sweden.
No School For Princess Estelle
Meanwhile, Princess Estelle’s school, Campus Manilla in Stockholm closed on Thursday, 5 March 2020, after one student tested positive for the coronavirus.
The Royal Court’s Director of the Information and Press Department, Margareta Thorgren, confirmed, during an interview with Aftonbladet that Princess Estelle is, meanwhile, continuing lessons at home.
