Catharina-Amalia Princess of Orange celebrates her 17th birthday on Monday, 7 December 2020.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima’s eldest daughter, Princess Catharina-Amalia, was born at HMC Bronovo in The Hague on 7 December 2003 at 5.01 pm (local time).

The little princess weighed in at 3.3kg (7 pounds 4 ounces).

Proud grandmother Queen Beatrix was among the first visitors to see her new grandchild.

She has two younger sisters, Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane.

Catharina-Amalia was granted the title, Princess of Orange, as heir to the throne, since her father’s inauguration on 30 April 2013.

Princess Catharine-Amalia currently attends the Christian Gymnasium Sorghvliet in The Hague.

The Princess of Orange speaks Dutch, English and some Spanish.

She loves horse riding, playing hockey and singing.
